I have thought about the positive encouragements I have received from those who were not close to me, yet the negative opinions by those who said they loved me. I began to think why was it that those who are not blood or close to me are the ones who seem to care more? Why is it that I feel alone in a room filled with people? Why don't I recognize the woman in the mirror whenever I stared at her? Why did I care?" Throughout her life, Crystal has battled with depression, suicide attempts, and the fear of love. Three years ago, she was diagnosed with Hashimotos Thyroiditis and both Hypothyroidism/Hyperthyroidism. Despite all of the pain she has dealt with, she manages to keep a smile on her face and to keep going whenever life gets tough. At a young age, Crystal knew that she would someday write a book. Being a motivational/inspirational writer, she shares her personal life and has connected with those who have reached out to her though her blog. She had enough with feeling emotionally drained and feeling lost amongst this Earth. That is when she surrendered to God and started to write "A Sense of Hope."
