This book is intended to be a set of guidelines for an OA Ceremony Team that has chosen to emulate the regalia of the Iroquois from the historic period between the French and Indian War and the American Revolution. This period of history was chosen because of the availability of documents and museum pieces that could be used to support the final decisions of the ceremony team. Later periods of history were rejected because of the blurring of what was actually used by the Iroquois for their regalia and what was created to look "Indian" to satisfy the tourist trade. This set of guidelines can be used by members of an OA Ceremony Team to create personal costuming that emulates the chosen historic period. It is also hoped that other groups interested in emulating native American regalia may find this book to be useful. This book was not written to be used to create period correct costumes for reenactors.
