The centuries old conflict between the Irish Nationalists and the British Unionists heated up in the late 1960's leading to the period of unrest which became known as The Troubles. Many Irishmen and Irishwomen became caught up in fighting for "The Cause". The Irish were supported by a number of North Americans of Irish heritage and by some revolutionaries from other parts of the world. As with most militant political movements, many innocent civilians suffered. This is a story of three young women who lived through the early years of the Troubles.
