Saddle up and ride to Paris--Paris, Texas that is-in this new western adaptation of Rostand's classic French play Cyrano de Bergerac. The script has country flare with Texas rangers, cancan dancers, and, of course, Cyrano's extraordinary nose! The comedy begins in 1897 at the Hotel de Bourgogne saloon and dance hall owned by Ragueneau, a French proprietor renowned for his top quality food and entertaining dancers. His friend Cyrano, is the best fighter and poet in all of Paris, Texas, and he is in love with his childhood friend, the beautiful Roxane. Unfortunately, Cyrano's insecurities keep him from revealing his true feelings for her; and besides, she is head-over-heels for Christian, the attractive new ranger who isn't too bright. Willing to be part of Roxane's love life at any cost, Cyrano offers his poetic soul to Christian, winning Roxane's heart for his rival with love letters she believes are from the ranger. With a saloon-style set design and costumes right out of the wild west, this adaptation is filled with action, comedy, and heartbreaking romance.
