The Taming of the Shrew
William Shakespeare
The work is based in principle on the fractious and moody character of Catherine Minola, a woman who drives away, not infrequently, beating a few suitors interested in it to his father. The matter would have greater significance if it were not, according to custom, the father of Catherine, the rich Don Bautista Minola, refuses to hand in marriage to his youngest daughter, Blanca, until no more married to; to the dismay of the ambitious aspirants to his hand, Hortensio, Gremio and Lucencio. On arrival at the city of Petruchio, a young ambitious and carefree and willingness to court the rough Catherine provide Blanca's suitors hope for joining their efforts to those of almost desperate Baptist.
