By unearthing the infinite power of the mineral xexillium, the people of Terracon have inadvertently doomed their world to destruction. Now they have to search the dangerous galaxy for a new home or die. Altan, one of the few chosen to help establish a colony, has doubts about the increasing responsibility of the role he'll play. However, in a world full of genetically enhanced super beings, ordinary Altan seems to have a distinct disadvantage. Will it turn out to be in his favor, and can he reconcile his losses from the past to forge a new future for himself and the human race?
