The Book of Ray, Volume Two

The Book of Ray is a three-volume memoir of one man's journey through life. This second volume covers the author's middle years-after Vietnam to age 50.

The senior citizen smiling at you from the opening pages is a kindly-looking, happy-hearted sort, but I wasn't always this high-spirited. In fact, quite the contrary.

From youthful times to later years, my life consisted of one setback after another, causing me to question whether this existence was even worth living. The kind of training needed to reach life's higher summits began in earnest just after my return from Vietnam.
