The book that challenges Christians to re-think what the church is

There is something profound in contemporary evangelical movement that evangelicals have been sensing. Now! This study shows that, indeed, embedded in the movement is the paradigm of the original theological and ecclesiological frameworks of Christian faith.

Since the Reformation, the Holy Spirit has been restoring, one block at a time, the original characteristics of the Christian church through gospel-oriented ecclesial movements. And these movements are culminating in contemporary evangelicalism. Thus, in this later movement, we see the cumulative full bloom of the essential features of the original Christian church.

However, the history of the Christian church is loaded with exclusivist and separatist reactions to historical revelations that are supposed to be holistically integrated. Thus, each ecclesial movement is regarded as a separate denominational configuration. This study emphasizes the need to integrate all the essential gospel-oriented revelations embedded in the history of the Christian church. When this holistic integration happens, then there will be a grand new reformation! Then begins the internal and holistic regeneration of present-day churches back to one whole prototypal Christian church!
