In a universe expanding at the speed of light, tomorrow's headlines can't come fast enough to help a starman field the curves of space and interstellar civilization. RAY

Captain Ray Harris, master starpilot, loves to travel but hates to land anywhere. Ray especially hates planets, and starships don't earn money on the ground ? but that's where the freight is, like it or not.

ROKEY

Ray's copilot and alien partner, Rokey, is not a career starman, but a 250-year-old scholar, and he does miss one planet dear to his heart ? his distant homeworld of Wozur. Sometimes Rokey still yearns for the family and the life he knew there, when he lived in the spotlight at the pinnacle of interstellar civilization ? until he remembers why he made the painful decision to exile himself.

Exiled to the life of a starship trucker onboard the Yankee Shadow, on the run with a brilliant, dedicated young starman who loves to fly ? but hates planets.

Whether rescuing women from exploding vehicles or rescuing entire alien races from extinction in their ongoing quest to deliver the goods, Ray and Rokey always end up earning their pay ? and their respect ? the hard way.
