The possibility of war approaches and the Unified Star Alliance's goal to protect and preserve peace throughout the galaxy has been threatened by the enemy forces of the Kotan Coalition. As the two forces, among others, battle for galactic supremacy, independent worlds and star systems find themselves in the path of the fighting. One such world is the planet Molar, whose only wish is to remain isolated and unchanged by off-world influences. In the midst of chaos, Alliance fighter pilot Lt. Cmdr. Chadd Hennings puts his life and career on the line, day after day, in hopes of doing his part to ensure peace; but along the way he runs into unforeseen obstacles that may hinder his progress.
