The Fall of Darkness

In the stunning new novel The Fall of Darkness, Annie Cain graduates high school in New London, Ohio, with aspirations of a bright future. On a vacation to Central America, a graduation gift from her mother, strange things begin to happen, making Annie realize there is something different about her. The death of Annie's mother is the catalyst for a series of events that introduces her to Kai, the mysterious man from her dreams, and her one true love. Through Kai, Annie learns that her life has been a lie to cover up her true identity. Kai informs Annie that her mother was the first woman on Earth, Adam's first wife, Lilith. Lilith was given permission by God to create four immortals to help maintain the balance of nature, and Annie is the fourth immortal. With the apocalypse predicted by the Mayans only months away, Annie is told that she is the key to saving humanity. The fate of the world is in her hands, but she has no idea what to do. Along with her six closest friends and two other immortals, Annie travels the world looking for clues of what the apocalypse might bring. Their travels are complicated by the secret society known as the Illuminati, who believe Annie must be killed before she can transform into an immortal, thus preventing the apocalypse predicted to occur on December 21, 2012.
