Wiley the Whippet is a super cute, super fast Superhero. Besides saving the world, Wiley loves to nap. The story begins with Wiley looking for the perfect place to snooze, but he is interrupted by a cry for help from his friend, Duck. The poor duck is stuck in the muck and mud near the pond's edge. Wiley dashes to his rescue, saves his friend and is off once more searching for a quiet place to nap. During his search, friend after friend request Wiley's help. No rest for this superhero, not when the woods are full of treachery for his animal friends. Wiley the Whippet, Superhero to the rescue! Says author Karolyn Emore, "Wiley the Whippet, Superhero was inspired by my own Whippet, Wiley. Known as the Ferrari of dogs, Whippets have impeccable speed, reaching up to 35 miles per hour. They are also known for their agility, being able to turn corners on a dime. Our Wiley would race around the yard chasing squirrels and jump over branches with ease and grace.
