A member of the Marquette University History faculty since 2007, Dr. Korieh s research and teaching focuses on social and economic change in colonial Africa. Prior to joining Marquette, he was associate professor of African history at Rowan University in New Jersey. Dr. Korieh earned his doctorate at the University of Toronto in 2003. He is the author of "The Land Has Changed: History, Society and Gender in Colonial Eastern Nigeria" (University of Calgary Press, 2010). Dr. Korieh was a British Academy fellow at Oxford University, UK in 2008. Raphael Chijioke Njoku is a Professor of African History at the University of Louisville, Kentucky. He received his doctorate in African history from Dalhousie University Canada and another doctorate in African politics from Vrije University, Belgium. His research specialty is African history, and African politics. He is the author and co-editor of five books and several scholarly articles in international journals and edited volumes. His most recent awards include: University of Louisville Distinguished Research Award, and Victor Olurunsola Endowed Research Award. He is the founding Editor of "Notes and Records: an International Journal of African and African Diaspora Studies."
