My name is Michael Starling. Even though I am only 29 years old, I have lived and learned through many experiences, often painful. Though I am prone to negativity, it is something I have worked hard over the last 10 years to overcome. In this book, I share stories about my life, the lives of others, and the lessons that I have learned. Often quoting from the Bible to give myself greater credibility and accountability, I hope to help others who are dealing with the same struggles as I have dealt with, and continuing to work through.


Whether it be suicidal thoughts, addiction, anger, blame shifting, self-righteousness, self-loathing, or denial, we all have dark and sinful patterns to overcome, and I am guilty of all. As the title suggests, I will give an unfiltered approach that digs deep into the soul, especially my own. For whether it be ourselves, others, or God, we have all hated someone at some point, and some of us are still angry.
