A Story of Redemption
Marcia Palomino Hawk
Dr. Marcia Hawk was born in Jamaica. Marcia was separated from her father at eight years old. She lived a life of poverty, became pregnant at 16 years old, and dropped out of high school in the ninth grade. She migrated to the United States, where she worked odd jobs but continued to educate herself. Marcia experienced domestic abuse by her first husband. She remarries but continued to struggle with emotional issues throughout her adult life. When her second husband dies in a tragic accident, she cannot get past his death and began a downward spiral. She believes that divine intervention is reunited with her father for nine months and re-established a relationship with him. Marcia realized her father needed healing as much as she did. Her father died nine months later, but the rebuilding of their relationship changed her life forever.
