Mimi has finally made the adjustment to her new life with an empty nest. Both of her girls had left home and were living their own lives. Semiretirement was looking good until life threw her the mother of all curveballs, which in the end turned out to be her greatest blessings. She was faced with the responsibility of raising two grandchildren, both boys. The peaceful, serene life she had become accustomed to had suddenly come to a screeching halt.
