Family Ties

"Family Ties" by Vernon Matthews is one of the most telling and candid expressions of politics and family. In his memoir, Vernon takes us through the life of a politician through the lense of a father and son. Vernon opens himself up and allows the reader to understand his true feelings, thoughts, and experiences throughout his political career. While reading Vernon's memoir I felt like I was on an emotional roller-coaster. So many thoughts and questions went through my mind from the very beginning of the book until the end.
