Cindy has been waiting her whole life to move to Brazil. She and her husband, Jon, have bought a farm and a home in the city where Jon grew up. She hopes he will finally be happy here. She believes they are ready to make the move.



Shortly after they arrive, Cindy realizes that they do not have the money to continue. They need to sell their house and farm. They find another farm farther away, in a rural community where the cost of living is more affordable.



Jon is now in the throes of midlife crisis. As a result of his skirt chasing, he impregnates a neighbor's daughter. Cindy is shattered. She struggles to hold onto her children and break free from her husband. Cindy battles against her addictions and insecurities but forges ahead.
