As I watched the pile of dead birds grow larger, I realized our customers had no idea of the struggles associated with growing amazing food in a natural environment. Only after I buried the dead did I realize I needed to connect with consumers, bring to them this story of a contemporary small family farm... The Other 1% is the story of the hopes and dreams of a farmer trying to build a connection within the community while creating a robust food culture based on environmentally sound practices and great food.
