After falling 700 feet from her nest in a remote area of southeastern Oregon, Amazon, a golden eagle nestling, survived and was rescued. Amazon tells her own story about the rescue and treatment for two broken wings. One wing did not heal sufficiently for flight, so Amazon is unable to fly and cannot return to the wild.
