Poems explore the dark places that exist unspoken within families and the delicate balance kept by this restraint. Oftentimes a maze with false ends, the narration aches of love, loss, and longing, while staying sharp in its point, which is returned to time and time again: we owe a debt to the mothers before us--beauty, pain, loyalty, in equal share.
