WHO SAID CARS ARE JUST FOR BOYS? features a little girl named Amy who grows up with a fascination for cars. She loves going to the auto parts store and car shows with her dad and dreams of the day when she can drive (but for now is settling for riding her Big Wheel bike down her driveway). She's initially ridiculed by the other kids for having this passion, but with the support of her parents and her good friend Max, she gets the girls in her class curious about playing with and detailing model cars, and interested in learning about mechanics and horsepower. Through perseverance Amy grows her "recess car group" of girls and, in a twist, eventually wins over Beth, the lone hold-out at school, to join their club.
