In this book the author fills in the cracks and explores Toni Stone's conversations, interactions and relationships with her family, the ball players, managers and owners with whom she played baseball from the time she was age 16 until she retired at age 35 and, most importantly, her relationship with the person she married, Aurelious Alberga, a man old enough to be her father.
