Anju and the Cat Named Mothra

Years after the events of Sameera's Kitchen, 19-year-old Anju McClellan moves into her mother's old apartment in New York City-an aspiring mangaka who thinks she's had a hard life. Then she meets Ahdia Malik, a quiet young woman trapped in an abusive family willing to consign her to a fate worse than death.



Ahdia thinks she hears the call when Anju wanders through her world-but is it a call to adventure, or a siren song? Ahdia wonders whether fate is showing her a way out, or cruelly dangling a promise of a new life that she can never have.
