A licensed attorney, she is also the author of Preserved for a Purpose: For My Daughters Are a Lily Among Thorns, a self-help book for young adults.

Co-author Darren D. Lewis-Travillion is energetic and smart, and loves to read. This book's concept arose from real situations and conversations between mother and son while discussing what it means to make good choices, and why it is important to be a leader.
