Stones of Fire: Hunted, hounded and pursued to point of death, Skoshi, Mika, Sam and Stokes follow the trail of an ancient prophecy, welcoming all and the many who would join their freedom track. They'd found the hidden cache of ships, provisions and the means to escape the slavery of the City-Brights and treachery of their Assembly Guards. Only minutes ahead of being overrun, they'd launched onto the Great Salty Billows to face mountains of towering storm waves, behemoth wah-beasts, and twinks so thick they swallowed boats and beings entire. At last making land-fall on a mist-covered paradise of green and plenty, they are eagerly welcomed by a gentle people, strangely expecting their arrival--but with an urgent warning that they must all leave at once or be overtaken by their own version of the prophecy. Paradise lasts less than a day as the giant, Taranaki, spews out molten rock, ash and poisonous gas while the sudden appearance of warring invaders from the North threaten them annihilation. Ferocious peril bears down from all sides, scattering and splintering their forces, compelling them to grab what they can and flee southward on parallel tracks away from danger and lakes of fire. Will they be reunited and find peace in this promised land or overcome by tsunamis, four-legged beasts, plagues, williwaws and war-like strangers intent on their destruction as they plunge ever deeper into the Stones of Fire?
