The Murder of Judge John P. Brown is the second novel in The Bremen & Whitacre Detective Agency Mystery series, and is the third series of novels for MW Burdette. In this book, John and Daphne are hired by a wealthy friend of the murdered judge to find his killer and bring him to justice. That friend is non other than the Governor of the State of Alabama. John Bremen and his wife, Daphne Whitacre, had launched their private detective agency after leaving their previous government jobs in the Dallas, Texas, area. John had become disillusioned with the FBI, and Daphne was frustrated that her career in law enforcement was also going no place fast. After moving to Ashburn, Alabama, they were immediately hired to find the missing heiress of the Patterson Estate and rightful owner of the Patterson Mansion, the home John and Daphne purchased upon arriving in Ashburn. Burdette's other three series, The LT Maggie Watson Murder Mysteries, The Dowdy and Summers Murder Mysteries, and the John Bremen Chronicles can also be found online at Amazon.com/Books/MW Burdette. Burdette lives in Atlanta, Georgia, with his wife, and their two frisky West Highland Terriers, "Geoffrey Chaucer" and "Emily Dickinson."
