Outer Space Speaks

A black, Religious Studies professor is contacted, controlled, and possibly abducted by alien creatures-at least in his daydreams. He travels to France for a conference and meets a graduate student who may be his lost daughter. Along with an African shaman, they journey back in time, through prehistoric artwork in a cave. Are they discovering an echo chamber of humanity's original sins and evolutionary flaws? Communicating with beings from outer space that created us and might terminate us, impatient with our mismanagement of this planet, as pests to other life forms? Or simply losing their minds?
