Imagine a week, if you can, that starts with a massive heart attack and ends with a terminal diagnosis. Imagine during that same week, losing your health, careers, home, pets, car, wife, and the life that you know. This is that story. Sometimes crude, sometimes eloquent, and often profane; it is direct, honest, sometimes offensive, usually blunt, and unapologetic. It shares the fight and flight of dealing with the past, present, and the lack of a future as the path winds through memories of an abusive childhood, a differing outlook, intellect, and sexuality. It shares living a life, and the women throughout it all. It is brutally honest as it shares the world after being diagnosed with a terminal illness. Nothing was held back as it shows the narrator hurt, scared, sad, glad, mad, and crazy when forced to deal with numbers, doctors, hospitals, and treatments as she searched and fought to find a point to anything.
