Deadly Testimony

Clinging to life in the hospital, Alex has been shot, but refuses to die. Jake is pretty sure he knows who did it--Vladimir Valinko, a powerful, ruthless crime lord who runs most of the crime in Southern California. Alex had enough evidence against him to put Valinko away for good and was going to testify against him next week. But Valinko had always been good at getting rid of witnesses.

Jake enlists the aid of an old friend, and he and Monica embark on a bold plan to flush Valinko out into the open. Valinko, however, is a step ahead of them, and soon Jake and Monica are involved in a game of cat and mouse where it's not clear who's the cat and who's the mouse.
