Carol s work includes writing for children, non-fiction, and fiction. In 2013 Carol received the Beacon Award for Social Justice Literature for Wake the Stone Man, a novel about friendship and forgiveness, which was inspired by her northern roots. Contributor Bio:  Laramee-Jones, Shanda Shanda LaRamee-Jones is the provincial coordinator of the Read to Me! Nova Scotia Family Literacy Program. She has a passion for supporting early learning and has a master's of education in literacy. She lives in Halifax, Nova Scotia, with her husband and son. Contributor Bio:  Mok, Carmen CARMEN MOK is an illustrator and product designer with experience in typography, photography and graphic design. She is a studio-art graduate of the University of Waterloo and a crafts and design graduate of Sheridan College, Ontario.
