In the year 2016, the Western Coalition war to defeat the emerging ISIS threat rages on. The ISIS caliphate emerged in the power vacuum created by U. S. Forces leaving Iraq in 2014 and the defeat of Saddam Hussein. Into the fog of war emerged a new, shadowy unit in the Western Allies army. Formed a decade earlier, Force X "The Penal Regiment" recruited its rank and file from prisons across North America. After completing their brutal "Selection training" the convicts are flown to the Middle East and plunged into the life or death conflict. This is a fictional story of a mysterious "Black Ops" army unit, used to fight an unconventional enemy. It is based on actual events occurring in the Middle East, around the world and the author's own military experiences
