Leslie Scrase is the author of over thirty books in a variety of genres. Many of them have been associated with his work. He has been conducting ceremonies for seventy years, beginning as a minister of religion and then, after losing his faith, working as a secular celebrant.

Previous novels include "A talented bureaucrat"; and recently "Beginning Again."

At his 80th birthday Leslie felt that he was written out and that no more books would be forthcoming. This short novel is the fourth since then, and follows his most recent collection of poetry: "Post-script".
