Born into slavery in 17th century Arab Algiers, adopted into the lap of luxury by a rich merchant slaver, forced to flee from the palace intricacies into the vast, forbidding Sahara, the Arab Rover spends the remainder of his long, adventure filled, and often violent life seeking his true identity in both the Islamic and Christian worlds. During his search, he is involved with piracy, wars of conquest, slavery, rape, mass murder, loyalty to his friends, and finally betrayal at the hands of his beautiful African slave and paramour.
