For any organization, the decision to take up new infrastructure projects or to set up a new production business is dependent on the company's current involvement in new projects as well as several other considerations. Still, there is always the search for a good, new project. Papua New Guinea (PNG) has readily available opportunities for varied businesses but has been deprived of the right attention due to various irrelevant reasons. Several lucrative opportunities are available-for the export of vegetables, fruits and flowers; setting up a dairy farm; investment in real estate, hydropower, cement plants, rerolling mills and hospitals, mining of minerals-including coal, gold and natural gas-and execution of infrastructure contracts. This work is an effort to highlight such opportunities and to provide more insight into the various businesses in this country.
