Arthur James Bell holds his PhD in Linguistics from Cornell University, where he studied under Professors Chris Collins, John Whitman, Carol Rosen, Wayne Harbert, and John Bowers. He is a Foreign Service Officer with the U. S. Department of State and has served at posts in Africa and the Middle East.
