Pentecost
Marlowe Scott
The Holy Spirit came to the Apostles and disciples over 2000 years ago during the Jewish celebration of "Feast of Days" in Jerusalem. The English interpretation of those days of celebration is Pentecost.
The Holy Spirit arrived as tongues of fire. As those tongues touched those gathered, a praising and loud speaking in other tongues caused those listening to think the people were drunk! The three persons of the Godhead were then completely revealed to mankind.
It is exciting that in the 1900s, there was an amazing occurrence of a Pentecostal experience that came to the Azusa Street Mission and Revival in Los Angeles, California!
Read and learn how the purpose and outreach of the Pentecostal experience continue to spread around the world today!
