Relentless Mercy

The sermons included in this collection were preached to different congregations I served in interim pastorates over a period of about nine years. In choosing to organize this collection around a single theme, I have tried to suggest the contours of a biblical theology of mercy; however, there is nothing systematic about this presentation, and the reader is sure to note many gaps and omissions. These are simply snapshots of Sunday-to-Sunday preaching, generally following the Revised Common Lectionary, and I hope the reader will be forgiving.
