I am Hannah
Carol Peterson
Hannah was a Jewish woman who longed for children. Her husband also had another wife who did have children. That wife taunted and ridiculed Hannah, making her life miserable. Hannah dealt with her situation with grace. Finally, Hannah cried out to God. God granted Hannah several children, the first of which she dedicated back to Him. That son, Samuel, became a judge, a prophet, and anointed the first two kings of Israel. Many women today deal with blended families, despair, and unmet desires. God knows our hearts and wants us to come to Him in prayer. So, how might our character or circumstances be similar to this woman of old who poured her heart out to God?This is Hannah's story. But it is also ours, when we have faith like hers.
