One of the best ways to define intercession is that intercession is the ministry of praying for others. This definition translates an intercessor as someone who prays for others. Therefore, it is not hard to notice that the situation the world is in today, and the nation Uganda in particular, calls for urgent intercession. When Paul learnt of the faith of the believers in Ephesus, he entered into intercessory prayers for them even before he wrote or met them physically. The government requires our prayers to succeed. We need to intercede to God to give our leaders the spirit of wisdom, revelation, knowledge and power for good policies and implementation of such policies. The government requires a better spiritual understanding and boldness to judge rightly in order to succeed. Just like the believers in Ephesus Paul interceded for, our government deserves spiritual enlightenment in order to know the will of God in this administration and their benefits of being in relationship with God. Our prayers would cover the presidency, the parliament, the judiciary, states, local governments and all the councils.
