Sometimes, the shortest distance between two points is not a straight line. That is particularly true of the wisdom seeking process. If one aspires to be wise, or, has a sense that there IS something more to life than what has been experienced so far, one could pursue wisdom directly by reading books or finding teachers. Though there is much value in that, there is something about wisdom that seems to like hiding. It may surface in a chance encounter or an experience in nature. Sometimes it is a song or a story or a picture or even a joke that brings it forth. This book contains short selections that may not seem to be about wisdom. But maybe, just maybe, some of them will spring open a door in the reader's awareness and provide at least a hint of wisdom. Read it and see. The material or organized by topics and at the end of each section, the reader is invited to record his/her own discoveries? Interested? Engage your mind and let it play.
