What a powerful and fascinating sci-fi read. The author does a great job of crafting a powerful mythology for this epic, universe- spanning novel. The twists and turns the novel takes test the protagonist Ian's perception of the universe as he knows it, with thoughts of God and ancient tales of Greek Mythology both playing roles in Ian's journey. The characters within the novel were engaging, from Socrates and Ian to Zeus himself. These characters do a great job of fleshing out the narrative overall, as they interact with the larger universe the author has crafted here to make the universe feel complex and almost alive on the page. This is the perfect read for those that enjoy science fiction and fantasy style novels, particularly those that are heavy on the science fiction aspect of that genre. What really stood out to me as a fan of the genre was just how many themes or plot devices the author fit into this one narrative that the genre is known for. From time distortion and androids to alien manipulators and a plot to try and save the planet Earth from destruction at the hands of mankind itself, the author perfectly captures these important topics and elevates them within the novel. A brilliant, entertaining and satisfying sci-fi read, author Wynn Stevenson's Pandora is a must-read novel. The characters and mythos are equally engaging for the reader, and the novel immediately sucks readers into the narrative with amazing pacing and character development.
