Better Ahead Crystal Sung

In her debut poetry collection, Crystal Sung explores social issues and both the passion and grief that make us who we are. Better Ahead is a celebration of all human experience and emotion, as well as a reminder that despite our trials and tribulations, there is always better ahead. Sung has been recognized nationally for both fiction and nonfiction work. Most recently, she was awarded a Gold Medal in Poetry at the 2018 Scholastic Art and Writing Awards for works in this poetry collection. Her greatest passions in life are politics, prose, poetry, and puns. She believes words are the most powerful invention of humanity, and takes exploring and experimenting with all genres of writing as a challenge.
