It is a great love-themed novel. It has all the ingredients of a masala movie - triangle love (Bharathi - Sathyamoorthy - Mogini), a great hero (Sathyamoorthy), the villain (Jamindar). It a good feeling to read a great love story in Tamil. Mohini's character will almost make us cry. One of the best novel I have read till date. Read it and feel it. It was very good like Sathyamoorthy's explanation of Kuruntokai poem ... What could my mother be to yours? What kin is my father to yours anyway? And how did you and I meet ever? But in love, our hearts are as red earth and pouring rain: mingled beyond parting.
