Does sin have you locked away in a prison of suffering and despair? During a 6 day stay in jail during Easter of 2013 David W. Smith experienced a foretaste of the sufferings that come when you are locked up because of your sins. After that stay he wrote these devotions for you. Through his struggle with faith and sin he hopes you will find hope and forgiveness. The same hope and forgiveness from the Father, by Jesus Christ and through the Holy Spirit that he experienced and lives in daily. David was a pastor for 6 years until the day he was arrested. He subsequently spent 2 1/2 years incarcerated, including over 16 months in solitary. During that time God transformed his life and David experienced God's Word in a powerful and life giving way. He now works to provide support and hope to individuals affected by incarceration and their loved ones.
