Edith Nesbit
Edith Nesbit, 1858 -1924 author and poet, was known for her over 60 adventurous children's stories; however, she began her career writing poetry to support her rather mixed family. This included her husband, his mistress and the child of the mistress as well as herself. She also ventured into the supernatural short stories for an adult audience. She called her collection of seven tales, 'Grim Tales.' Her classic style and imagery has proven to be ageless and inspirational to modern writers. Recommended by The Gunston Trust - Young Adult+
