A Daughter of Job
Jennifer Thompson
My maiden name is Job. In the Bible, Job endured many trials and tribulations. When I began writing this book, I was only thirty-three years old. As I am finishing this book, I am now fifty-seven years old. Like Job, I have endured many difficult times in my life. Some problems seemed so trivial while others have been life-threatening, including a bout with Hodgkin's Disease, a lymph node cancer. I have faced many medical tests: biopsies, exploratory surgery, oral surgeries, CAT scans, Gallium scan, bone marrow biopsy, radiation treatments, EMG, and neurosurgery. Facing these problems can be overwhelming; however, with the LORD in my life: "I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me." (Philippians 4:13) My book deals with a multitude of problems from the eyes of one who has endured them. It is my hope and prayer that this book can be an encouragement to those facing similar trials.
