This book contains fundamental studies fundamental mechanical (elastic, thermal, electrical, magnetic, biological, etc.) properties of systems at the nano- and micrometer scale. Nano-and Micromechanics have emerged on the crossroads of classical and non-classical mechanics, solid-state physics, statistical mechanics, materials science, quantum chemistry among others.
