This investigation analyzed the efficacy of Arizona?s Career Ladder program by focusing on the effect of Career Ladder on student achievement. Ultimately, it is hoped that this study determined whether Career Ladder has an impact on student achievement, as measured by the Arizona Instrument to Measure Standards, Dual Purpose Assessment, and the Terra Nova assessment (embedded in the AIMS assessment). The results of this study could impact teacher incentive pay programs across the country as well as influence legislative decision regarding future funding of the Arizona Career Ladder Program.
