Strategic Information System in Action: a Case Study of Punjab State Power Corporation Limited Sahil Raj

The study focuses on the developing a model Strategic Information Systems in distribution network of PSPCL. As in present scenario even the public sector organizations can not afford to adopt a lackluster approach and particularly the power sector, as power sector is in shambles. The growth of the economy is very much dependent on the availability of uninterrupted supply of power. But in the Punjab the scenario is pretty grim in the sense the power sector is in deep crises. It was clear from the recent development when the PSEB is unbundled into two different entities. This study focuses on the distribution network of PSPCL. The distribution is one of the most important deciding factors in the efficient supply of power. The study is an effort in implementing the Strategic Information System in the Distribution network of PSPCL.
